Black Rye Sour Ale
Black Rye Sour began as a black Saison brewed with our Farmhouse strain and a blend of lactobacillus plus two strains of brettanomyces. From there, it aged in Marlborough Pinot Noir Barriques for 13 months before blending with select brews from our barrel collection.
Showing dark garnet with distinct rye and spice aromas, it drinks with rich cocoa, chicory and clove notes along with soft lemon. Finish is lingering and complex. Drink now or tuck aside for an evening when the day is short, but the night is filled with infinite possibilities.
